The Int'l Fund for Horses is dedicated to improving the welfare of horses by working to get stronger equine protection legislation into place.

To ensure success, we:

  • Lobby directly for the passage of horse protection legislation at the state and federal levels in the U.S.
  • Employ professional lobbyists to influence the passage of horse protection legislation in Washington DC
  • Lobby the European Parliament for the passage new equine protection laws, and the enforcement of existing laws
  • Lobby elected officials of governments in the U.S. and abroad for the implementation of enacted horse protected legislation, resolutions and policies
  • Establish collaborative relationships and work with horse friendly legislators to ensure the success of horse protection legislation
  • Create innovative campaigns to influence the passage of horse protection legislation in the U.S. and abroad
  • Send alerts to our constituent base outlining what action to take to effect the passage of horse protective legislation in the U.S. and abroad

The result is we are giving horses a stronger voice than they have ever had before.  In some instances, we are giving horses a voice where they had none before.

The Horse on the Hill Gang is a group of supporters who contribute their time and donation dollars lobbying for the passage of legislation banning horse slaughter and export for slaughter, as well as other equine protection laws.
